LonelyLonelyZaria stared out her window as one of the eight silver moons rounded the planet of Vorago. The sun had long disappeared behind the tall mountains of sand that collected around the land of Cyaneus, allowing crisp night air to roam freely over the blistering kingdom. All was quiet except for the shallow whispers the wind would make every so often, brushing Zaria's red hair into her ears. Every time the wind moved past her face, she felt as though the ghosts of the fallen soldiers from Cyaneus were speaking to her, moaning in their graves to be alive again. Zaria breathed in the cool night air, then sighed as her thoughts once again ran away with her.

GratefulnessGratefulnessI am grateful for . . .The cats that sleep on my clean clothes . . .My mom that greets me with sarcasm everyday . . .The family that is just as strange as I am . . .The friends that are wacked out and crazy (sometimes) . . .The inner voice that keeps me from screaming out loud in public . . .The breath that keeps me alive most of the time . . .The talents that entertain people who take the time to care about other people and have fun (the nice people) . . .The teachers that are extremely annoyed when I don't turn in my homework on time . . .The strangers that stare at me strangely when I laugh hysterically at random moments during the day . . .The home that houses my head . . . and the rest of me, as well . . .The lollipops that taste like cherries . . .The education that I crave to learn . . .The abilities that I am able to do everyday . . .The courage to try (almost) anything once, even if I fail epically when I lose or something . . .The ancestors that bo

Dreaming"So you are going to do as you're told, is that clear?"I nodded. "Yes, master."A dark figure stood before me, clothed in a long, black cloak that just barely brushed the ground. The hood on his cloak had been pulled over his head, hiding his face from view. He was always dark, always mysterious - and always intimidating. He made sure I was in line, otherwise I'd be mincemeat for the dogs in a split second.I was very grateful - and fearful - to have him around. He was like a father to me, even though my real father was long gone. My master took me in at a young age. He said he had heard about what happened after my father died and only wanted to help me out, and I was stupid enough to believe him.I still recalled the horrified screams that had taken place not even minutes before from within the old house out in the valley. The memory of that family's death was fresh in my mind, but I got used to it. After all, it wasn't my first time toiling around with the death of others. I was tr
Poem For LifeYou took my heart out of my chestNow I lay broken on the floorMy lungs are bleeding and screamingMy legs are kicking and thrashingI never thought that you could killMy one time dream, all that is realAnd now my world is crashing downSo I can't seem to understandWhy you did it, you nasty personThe one lone creature I called familyBut all you do is brush it offLike my whole heart was still unharmedSomething I have never feltBut you just say 'I've seen it all,Death has met me, screamed, and ran'So now I lay broken todayAs you seem to go on walkingYet I can't seem to comprehendWhy life is so unfair to meEnd
Apples In The TreeAn apple fell from the treeIt was warm and shiny redIt smelled deliciousI dared myself to take a biteBut I just couldn't do itBecause my mood had turned suspiciousIt was oddly quietNot a bird or a grasshopper in sightI was all alone on the cliff dropThe town was very near to meBut i always came here to get away from it allI just couldn't stopNo one understood what I went throughDay in and day out all the timeI had no family around meI liked being alone, by myselfThat way I had time to think freelyAnd the apples and the cliff were the keyI pressed the apple to my foreheadSlightly muttering to myselfA bright ocean was the only thing in sightMy back pressed against the barkSadly, the sun began to disappear behind the cloudsThe apple still rested in my hands as I took a biteEnd
